As Christmas time again draws near And we reflect on times held dear, A melancholy feeling starts Of memories held within our hearts Of parents, children, siblings too And even in-laws, yes it’s true Of friends, who through the year remain, Are there to help through joy and pain.
For all who came through Green Woods door Some we have never seen before. There is a sharing of some time, A fleeting meeting of our minds. And when they leave through that same door We know we’ve shared in something more. It’s in that time we now can seize Life’s made of moments such as these.
So, Chris and Nick and Jane and Sue And even Little Emily too We thank you for the time you came And shared our home, and shall remain Forever part of of who we are. And when you leave, and travel far That part of us, in meeting you Perhaps will travel with you too
For causing us to know at last That life is not about the past But in that moment, and it’s true Joy maybe found in something new. Today we make tomorrows past And Christmas in our hearts hold fast. We wish you joy with Christmas cheer And happiness throughout the year
