New Beginnings

 

Why did you dance in my minds eye?

Why were you strong in my heart?

I thought our love was forever

Now I find we're apart

 

My heart was laid open from your words

You let me trust in you more

Then said our future was over

What are you looking for?

 

This ending is a new beginning

Of days determined to unfold

We had time of sharing warmth...

But now it's.. cold

 

I now know that time is a healer

Your memory's starting to fade

As I step out into the sunlight

Your shadow's in the shade

 

Perhaps you'll find love in another

I know you should follow your dreams

Discovering different directions

We are two separate streams

Dawn is breaking

Sunlight saturating
