Gentle the Morning

The scent of a rose on warm summer air

A vision in time to share

Gentle the morning, presented with perfect repose

Taken as ours, we suppose

Gentle the morning, presented with perfect repose

Ours for this moment to hold

Soon silver etched sunbeams stream through tempered cloud

Painting the garden a shroud

Gentle the morning, presented with perfect repose

Taken as ours, we suppose

Gentle the morning, presented with perfect repose

Ours for this moment to hold

The brightness of day, exhumed from the night

Refracted through prisms of light

Gentle the morning, presented with perfect repose

Taken as ours, we suppose

Gentle the morning, presented with perfect repose

Ours for this moment to hold

Bridge

And through each day

Every shining sight take our troubles away

To only see

How each precious day is for you and me

So take the time

For this days a day that is yours and mine

Just look around

Just to see the sights and the sounds

Gentle the morning, presented with perfect repose

Taken as ours, we suppose

Gentle the morning, presented with perfect repose

Ours for this moment to hold
